DJ Edwards Solar and Electrical; providing Equipment repairs across Brisbane, Gold Coast, Toowoomba and the Sunshine Coast
Solar & Electrical Equipment Repairs Brisbane | DJ Edwards Solar & Electrical
Most Brisbane homeowners assume equipment failure means full replacement. In our experience, that's rarely the case.
A failed capacitor in an inverter, a corroded DC isolator, or a faulty communication board are all repairable at a fraction of replacement cost — if the diagnosis is done properly from the start.
DJ Edwards carries out solar and electrical equipment repairs across Brisbane and the Gold Coast for residential and commercial properties.
Same-day diagnosis, honest assessments, and repairs completed in a single visit where parts allow.

Equipment Repairs We Carry Out

Solar inverters. We repair Fronius, SMA, SolarEdge, Goodwe, Sungrow, Enphase, and most other brands across Brisbane.
DC isolators. One of the most common solar repairs across southeast Queensland. Systems installed during Queensland's 2014 to 2016 solar boom now have isolators ten-plus years old. Regular inspection catches these before they fail. See our preventative maintenance service for how we build this into scheduled maintenance.
Battery systems. We diagnose battery faults and advise on warranty scope. For out-of-warranty faults we assess repair versus replacement based on the system's remaining expected life.
Motor control equipment. Contactors, overload relays, and variable speed drives for Brisbane's commercial and industrial properties. We test the motor before replacing control equipment — a winding fault will destroy new control gear if it's missed.
Distribution boards. Failed breakers, damaged busbars, and failed neutral links in commercial distribution boards. Emergency makesafe carried out where needed before full repairs proceed.

Repair or Replace
How We Decide

Inverters under ten years old with a specific component fault. Commercial motor starters, contactors, and variable speed drives. Distribution board components including circuit breakers and damaged busbars.
Worth repairing
DC and AC isolators — safety-critical components where repair carries more risk than a new unit. MC4 connectors showing corrosion or damage. Circuit breakers and safety switches that fail performance testing.
Always replace
Battery systems — fault type and warranty status determine whether repair or replacement makes more sense. Physically damaged solar panels — some junction box and delamination faults are repairable, cracked panels generally aren't.
